It’s not all rainbows and butterflies; giving context to Visionary Art

Often times, the messages and significance within visionary art can be lost in the swaths of color and strange quality of the subjects. It is important to remember the context in which this particular niche of art resides if we are to fully grasp all that it has to offer.

Stuart Griggs gives a riveting talk on the roots of visionary art, grounding the wild concepts brought to life within Stuart’s paintings, as well as those the likes of Andrew Jones, Amanda Sage and Alex Grey, into some historical beginnings.

Filmed at Breaking Convention: 3rd International Conference on Psychedelic Consciousness, 10-12th July, 2015
